App Privacy Policy
The YourMapp app and service are owned, provided and delivered by First Option Software (Company number 06340261 registered in England & Wales).
YourMapp and any white labelled derivatives are free mobile apps, to provide you with maps and information and is intended for use as is.
This document sets out our policy with regards to how we collect and use information, including Personal Information, collected by the app.
If you choose to use the app, then you agree to the collection and use of information in relation to this policy. The Personal Information that we collect is used for providing and improving the app. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.
Unique device identifier
A unique device identifier (sometimes called a universally unique ID or UUID) is a string of characters that is incorporated into a device by its manufacturer and can be used to uniquely identify that device (for example an IMEI number of a mobile phone). Different device identifiers vary in how permanent they are, whether they can be reset by users and how they can be accessed. A given device may have several different unique device identifiers. Unique device identifiers can be used for various purposes, including security and fraud detection, syncing services and remembering the user’s preferences.
Information Collection and Use
We want to inform you that whenever you use the App, we may automatically collect log data and information about your phone to help us understand your use of the app and diagnose any issues that might arise. This data may include information such as your device Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, Unique Device identifier, hardware module, operating system details, the configuration of the app, the time and date of your use, and the actions that you have performed in the app.
Device Location
The app uses location identifying technology (such as GPS) to determine your current location and display it on maps in the app. At intervals we may also obtain your location and transfer it to our servers in order to gain aggregate metrics about app users locations. This information helps us understand your interests and in turn improve the app. Location information is not analysed on an individual basis.
On Android we use a third party service, provided by PathSense, to perform location based Geofence functions. This service may collect information from your device in order to determine your location.
If you do not want us to use your location for the purposes set forth above, you should not enable location services when prompted or turn off the location services for the mobile application located in your account settings or in your mobile phone settings.
Third party services
Your data will only be shared with our trusted service providers who work on our behalf, do not have an independent use of the information we disclose to them, and have agreed to adhere to the rules set forth in this privacy statement.
The data you download to the app and the data we collect within the app is managed by central server(s) based in our data centre in the UK.
App Notifications
The app may periodically send you notifications, alerting you to pertinent information. If you do not, or no longer wish to receive notifications from the app you should disallow notifications when prompted or in your mobile phone settings.
Security
We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information. No method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable, so we use industry standard encryption protocols to transfer your data to our servers.
Links to Other Sites
This app may contain links to third party web sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us. Therefore, we strongly advise you to review the Privacy Policy of these websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Opting Out
You can stop all our collection of information easily by uninstalling the App. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
Data Retention Policy
We will retain automatically collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Thus, you are advised to review this page periodically for any changes. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. These changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
