The Settlement Gift Shop History

The property behind the restaurant was originally owned by Bill Ridlen. This property was bought to form the Patti's 1880's Settlement as it is known today. The first portion of the property was purchased from Bill Ridlen in 1985, the rest of property including Mr. Ridlen's home was purchased 1999. In 1989 we began construction of the Mr. Bill's restaurant and we added the new offices above the kitchen. May 1992 - gardens were only completed along new sidewalks and the "Settlement" began. We started to move the cabins in that we purchased or were given to us. These cabins are now all of our gift shops that you see today. They each have their own unique story and history as how they came to rest on our grounds.
